A truly independent, (self funded) insider’s  documentary about the motorcycle passion of Lawrence of Arabia.

Filmed by a professional team on broadcast quality, research, shooting and editing lasted for over a year and finally resultied in this DVD.

All other films and documentaries about this enigmatic personality have vaguely mentioned his passion for motorcycles, in fact the 1962 film with the titel: ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ made by David Lean starts with his fatal accident.

This documentary reconstructs that accident, and covers the more than one hundred thousand miles and thirteen years that Lawrence rode his 7 Brough Superiors before it.

As a writer and Oxford scholar he provides a clear and unique insight in the joys of motorcycle riding, to which many riders of today can relate.

Interviews with his friends and neighbour, as they remembered him vividly in the 60'ies, Archive footage of Lawrence himself, outside of his cottage in Dorset.

A modern day tour around the South of England, looking for the trail of Lawrence's motoring days, on a Brough Superior, superb footage of various Brough Superior models.
